In that role he is responsible for on floor coaching during practice and daily office operations in addition to regular gameday duties.
COLLEGIATE PLAYING CAREER
CLAYTON STATE (2017-19)
In two years with the Lakers, McRae averaged 13.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals while shooting an all-time program record .420 (118-of-281) from beyond the arc. That three-point total is tied for fifth in program history.
In his first year in the Orange and Blue in 2017-18 he drained 67 triples, fifth all-time in a single season, while averaging 11.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists and better than a steal per game. He also hit an .844 (92-of-109) clip at the foul line.
That year would also see the team go an impressive 24-7 and make their return to the NCAA Division II Tournament for the first time in a decade. It would be a trip that would see the Lakers defeat Carson-Newman 75-69 on March 10 of that year for the team’s fourth all-time tournament victory. Along the way they would claim their second straight Peach Belt Conference Regular Season Championship.
As a senior he put up marks of 14.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals while shooting .398 (51-of-128) from three and .801 (129-of-161) at the foul line. That season he was named PBC Player of the Week twice, on February 4 and 11, and earned a spot on the PBC All-Academic Team in his first year of eligibility for the award.
In terms of career accomplishments, McRae tied three program single game marks with seven threes against Lander (1/15/18), 5-of-5 from three-point range at Georgia Southwestern (1/24/18) and a perfect 13-of-13 from the charity stripe at Augusta (2/12/18).
GEORGIA SOUTHERN (2015-17)
Over the course of two seasons, McRae played 22 games for Division I Georgia Southern, averaging 1.4 points as a true freshman and 1.7 as a sophomore as he saw limited minutes in both campaigns.
EDUCATION
A 2019 graduate of Clayton State, McRae earned a degree in Liberal Studies in May of that year.
