Biography

2008-09: Finished off his brilliant Clayton State career by earning Ping Division II first team All-American honors for a second straight year, plus Clayton State's first ever Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year honors... Also earned All-Southeast Region honors for a third straight year and All-Peach Belt Conference for a second straight season... Set the Clayton State record for best tournament score for a 54-hole tournament (11-under at the Matlock Collegiate Classic) and the top scoring average in a season at 71.06... Led the Peach Belt Conference in scoring average.

Spring 2009: Posted a 70.1 scoring average in 20 rounds for the spring... Lowest score of the spring was a 66 at the Outback Steakhouse Intercollegiate... Won three straight tournaments - Outback Steakhouse Intercollegiate, the Matlock Collegiate Classic and the Samford Intercollegiate... Finished tied for second at the Peach Belt Conference Championship with a 211 (70-71-70), and tied for 24th at the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional with a 220 (71-78-71).

Fall 2008: Posted a 71.9 average in 11 rounds... Best finish was a 3-under-par 69, tying for low medalist honors as an individual at the Orchard Fall Invitational... Recorded two more Top 10 finishes - tied for second at the Queens Invitational with a 142 (70-72) and tied for fourth at the Rollins Invitational with a 213 (71-68-74)... Also finished tied for 19th at the Aflac/Cougar Invitational with a 146 (71-75)... Concluded the fall ranked ninth in the Peach Belt Conference in scoring average.

2007-08: Earned Ping Division II first team All-American honors, plus Division II All-Southeast Region and All-Peach Belt Conference honors and posted four tournament championships combined in spring and fall... Became Clayton State's first Peach Belt Conference individual champion and set both a Clayton State and Peach Belt Conference record with a 71.1 scoring average combined for the spring and fall... Set Clayton State records for best tournament score for a single round, 36 holes and 54 holes... His 281 at the NCAA Division II National Championship is the second-best 72-hole tournament score in Clayton State history.

Spring 2008: Posted a 71.3 scoring average in 22 rounds for the spring... Lowest score of the spring was a 66 in the first round of the NCAA Division II National Championship... Became Clayton State's first ever Peach Belt Conference champion with a 208 (70-68-70) and also won the Southbridge Pirate Invitational with a Clayton State 36-hole tournament record of 137 (68-69)... Also finished tied for fifth at both the Outback Steakhouse Intercollegiate with a 143 (70-73) and the Matlock Invitational with a 216 (68-73-75) and tied for ninth at the Rendleman Invitational with 143 (72-71)... Finished fifth at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional with a 218 (73-74-71) and tied for eighth at the NCAA Division II National Championship with a 281 (66-72-74-69).

Fall 2007: Saw action all five of the Lakers' fall tournaments, posting a 70.6 average in nine rounds... Lowest round of the fall was a 65 in the second round of the Aflac/Cougar Invitational, tying the Clayton State record for lowest single-round score... Won the Orchard Fall Invitational with a 69 and the Aflac/Cougar Invitational with a 207 (71-65-71), setting a Clayton State record for best score in a 54-hole tournament... Also finished ninth at the Coker Invitational with a 141 (72-69) and tied for fourth at the UNA-Indian Bayou Classic with a 71.

Spring 2007: Transferred to Clayton State during the semester break from Division I Alabama-Birmingham... Earned both Division II All-Southeast Region and Division II honorable mention All-American honors... Finished the season with six straight Top 10 finishes... Finished runner-up at the Peach Belt Conference Tournament with a 220 (73-71-76), qualifying for the NCAA Division II Southeast Regionals... Finished eighth at the Division II Southeast Regionals with a 229 (79-74-76)... Also garnered a second-place finish at the North Alabama Spring Classic, tied for fourth at the Bobcat Invitational, tied for seventh at the BMW Collegiate and tied for eighth at the Rendleman Invitational... Low round for the spring was a 68 in the final round of the Bobcat Invitational... Tied for the lowest scoring average in a season at Clayton State with a 74.20.

Pre-Clayton State: Played in four events as a freshman at Alabama-Birmingham during the 2004-05 season... Fired 12 rounds with a stroke average of 73.75... Notched three rounds of even or under-par... Shot 70-74-73 for a four-over 217 in first collegiate tournament of college career at the Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate... Shot career-low round 68 in the first round of the Jerry Pate Intercollegiate... Finished the Jerry Pate Intercollegiate at even-par 213 for 54 holes, placing him in tie for 32nd overall... Eight of his 12 rounds were at 74 or better.

High School/Junior Golf:  Four-year letterwinner and team captain at Pell City High School... High school head coach was Johnny Hanger... A three-time All-State selection... Received Advanced Academic Diploma from Pell City.
