MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State head cheerleading coach Jarri Goodman has announced his upcoming 2021-22 class that features seven new student-athletes.
 
"I am excited about the upcoming season and the energy these young ladies are bringing to the program," Goodman said. "We have a group of new girls who are ready to put in the work to develop the skills we need to build our competition program."
 
Goodman brings on five transfers and two freshmen. Last season, the cheer program featured six cheerleaders.

"I am looking forward to working with these young ladies in building a championship culture within the Clayton State University cheerleading program."  

The cheer program will attend all home basketball games and will be a part of other special events throughout the year. Goodman is entering his fifth year as head cheerleading coach.

- Was a cheer captain for four years
- Intends to major in dental hygiene

- Was at Georgia Southern prior
- Served as Vice President of Fellowship for Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity
- Graduated from Stockbridge High School in 2017
- Named 4-AAAAA All-Region as a senior
- Plans to major in biology

- Graduated high school Summa Cum Laude and was a Distinguished Honor Student
- Also ran track and payed flag football in high school
- Helped team to a county championship in flag football as a junior
- Plans to major in dental hygiene
 
Kelsiuna Woodford   Jr.            Atlanta, Ga. / Clark Atlanta
- Transfer from Clark Atlanta University
- Named to the Dean's List
- Graduated from Carver Early College in 2016
- Was a National Honors Society member
- Named Cheer Captain as a senior
- Intends to major in communications and media studies
