Women’s Soccer Falls Short to North Georgia in PBC Quarterfinals

MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State women's soccer team closed its season on Saturday with a 2-0 loss at Laker Field to North Georgia in the Peach Belt Conference Quarterfinals.
 
The Lakers entered the match as the No. 4 seed while UNG was the No. 5 seed.
 
North Georgia scored two goals in the first 15 minutes and managed to hold the lead for the remainder of the match.
 
The Nighthawks held a 12-0 shot advantage in the first half, but the Lakers outshot UNG 7-5 in the second.
 
Nyeemah Lucky placed two of her shots on goal which was a team high.
 
Valentina Bonaiuto made nine saves, several being point-blank. The keeper closes the season with 68 saves and a 70.8 save pct.
