MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State (11-4-0, 3-1-0 PBC) men's soccer will face their toughest challenge in one of their most important games of the season as they head to No. 7 Francis Marion (11-2-1, 3-1-0 PBC) on Saturday, November 2. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m. in Florence, South Carolina.
The teams currently sit tied atop the Peach Belt Conference standings with nine points apiece and are joined by No. 15 Young Harris (9-3-0, 3-1-0 PBC) and No. 25 Lander (9-3-2, 3-1-0 PBC). Each team has three games to go and the Lakers will face the Bearcats in their next outing.
Â
It will also be a meeting of the league's top two keepers in junior goalkeeper
Theo Blachon (St. Etienne, France) and FMU's Maximiliano Rocco. Both are tied for fifth in the country with eight shutouts and, between them, pretty much appear in the top two statistical categories for every meaningful keeper stat in the league.

Â
That stretch included three straight ties from October 27, 2007 to October 11, 2009. Most recently, FMU has won the last three, and six of the last eight, picking up a 5-3 victory at Laker Field on October 1, 2016, a narrow 2-1 decision in Florence, South Carolina on September 30, 2017 and 6-1 win in Morrow on October 20, 2018.
