MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State (7-3-0, 1-0-0 PBC) men's soccer hits the road for the first of two games away from Laker Field as they travel to Emmanuel (7-2-1, 4-1-1 CC) for non-conference action on Wednesday, October 16. Game time is set for 6 p.m. in Franklin Springs, Georgia.
 
This will be just the fourth meeting between the programs, all of which have come over the past five seasons. The Lakers hold a 2-1 margin with a 4-1 victory in Morrow on October 5, 2015 and a 2-1 win in Franklin Springs, Georgia on September 3, 2017. Most recently the Lions posted a 2-1 victory on October 17, 2018 at Laker Field to snap that streak.
 
NATIONAL STATISTICAL RANKINGS
As of the October 14 release, Clayton State is second in the nation in save percentage (.891), is seventh in shutout percentage (.600) and 10^th in goals against average (.597). Offensively they are 16^th in scoring offense (2.60), 22^nd in total goals (26) and 27^th in points per game (6.90).
 
Individually, junior goalkeeper Theo Blachon (St. Etienne, France) is among the national leaders in shutouts with six. Exact numbers are not available as the national stats cannot properly calculate that stat at this time.
