MORROW, Ga. – As they wrap up a season opening four game homestand, Clayton State (1-2, 0-0 PBC) looks to snap a five game winless streak to Tampa (0-1-2, 0-0-0 SSC) as the Spartans visit Laker Field on Saturday, September 8. Game time is set for approximately 6 p.m.
 
All-time the teams have met a total of 10 times, including eight straight seasons from 2009-16. Tampa holds a 7-2-1 advantage in the series and is undefeated in the last five outings. Clayton State won the first meeting 2-0 in Tampa, Florida on September 2, 2005 and again, 2-1, on September 6, 2011 in Morrow.
 
In their last five against UT, the best they've managed is a 2-2 tie at Laker Field on September 5, 2013. Most recently the Spartans posted a 4-0 decision when they were ranked No. 24 on September 9, 2016.
