MORROW, Ga. – Hitting the road for the first time this season, Clayton State (1-2-1, 0-0-0 PBC) will step right into one of the toughest challenges on the schedule as they head to No. 12 Limestone (3-0, 1-0 CC) in non-conference action on Wednesday, September 12. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. in Gaffney, South Carolina.
 
The Lakers are 4-3 all-time against the Saints, dating to the first meeting on October 3, 1994. They would win that game 3-0 and take the second one by a 2-1 score on October 24, 2007. The following year on October 29 would be the first time that Clayton State traveled to Gaffney, South Carolina, falling 2-1.
 
Since then the teams have met four times with the Lakers prevailing 5-1 on October 27, 2010 and 3-2 on October 9, 2013. Limestone notched an 8-2 decision on October 15, 2016 in the last meeting in Gaffney when they were No. 13 in the country. Most recently Clayton State dropped a 3-0 decision at Laker Field to No. 21 Limestone on September 23, 2017. With meetings in three straight years, the game will mark the longest such streak in series history.
