MORROW, Ga. – Coming off of an incredible quarterfinal shootout victory, Clayton State (3-10-3, 2-5-0 PBC) returns to the Peach Belt Conference Tournament Semifinals and will face second seeded and No. 7 Lander (13-1-2, 6-1-0 PBC) on Friday, November 2. Game time is set for 2 p.m. in Evans, Georgia at Blanchard Woods Park.

The Lakers advanced to their 13
th semifinal in 21 appearances following a thrilling 5-4 penalty kick shootout win at No. 3 seed North Georgia on Tuesday, October 30. That sets up a rematch of last year's semifinal appearance with the Bearcats.

In terms of the all-time series against Lander,
the Lakers trail 8-20-3 following a pair of losses last season and a 4-0 defeat this year on October 24. Last year included a 2-0 margin in Greenwood, South Carolina on September 16 and a 5-1 score in the PBC Semifinals in Augusta, Georgia on November 3.

Overall, the Bearcats have claimed 11 of the last 13 meetings dating back to October 31, 2009. During that stretch Clayton State notched a 1-0 victory on October 30, 2010 and 2-0 decision on October 11, 2014. Both of those came at Laker Field.

In PBC Tournament action, the teams have met six times with the Bearcats holding a 4-2 advantage. They have won the last three, including last year's meeting. Prior to that it was a 3-1 decision for the No. 12 team in the country on November 3, 2015. That game was in Greenwood, South Carolina while the last PBC Tournament meeting prior to it on November 6, 2009 was the only meeting in Evans, Georgia. LU claimed a 2-1, double overtime victory in the semifinals.

The Lakers took two of the first three meetings, earning a 2-1 semifinal win on November 4, 2000 before being blanked 4-0 in quarterfinal action on November 6, 2002. On November 4, 2007, however, they would post a 3-2 overtime win at Laker Field to earn the PBC Tournament Championship.
