MORROW, Ga. – Coming off a solid win in their last outing, Clayton State (1-1, 0-0 PBC) opens up the home season when they host former league foe Montevallo (1-1, 0-0 GSC) on Thursday, September 7. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Laker Field.
 
The Lakers are 8-13-4 in 25 games all-time against the Falcons dating back to the first meeting on September 3, 1994. They are just 3-6-2 at home in that time and have dropped three straight at Laker Field to UM. Their last victory came by a 1-0 decision on September 30, 2015 at UM. Last season UM pulled out a narrow 2-1 decision on September 28 before returning to the Gulf South Conference beginning this season.

Additionally, with the recent hurricanes in Texas and Florida, Clayton State Athletics is offering free admission to anyone bringing at least five canned goods or a case of water (12 bottle minimum) to the gate at tomorrow's contest. All donations will go directly to helping individuals affected by these natural disasters.
