MORROW, Ga. – Fresh off their first win of the season, Clayton State (1-4, 0-0 PBC) kicks off the Peach Belt Conference season with league tournament runner-up Lander (1-3, 0-0 PBC) on Saturday, September 17. Game time is set for approximately 7:30 p.m. following the women's contest.
 
The teams met twice last season with the Bearcats earning a pair of victories. The first was a 1-0 decision in Greenwood, South Carolina when LU was undefeated and the other was a 3-1 final in the PBC quarterfinals. In the latter, Lander was No. 12 in the country.
 
All-time, the Bearcats lead 8-16-3 dating back to the first meeting on September 20, 1997. Overall they have won each of those last two meetings as part of five wins in the last six. The Lakers last earned victory on October 11, 2014 with a 2-0 decision at Laker Field. At home, Clayton State is 5-6-2 vs. Lander.
