Clive Caesar

Clive Caesar enters his 12th season with the Clayton State Laker men’s and women’s track & field program. After competing as a student-athlete, he joined the Laker program as a student coach before becoming an assistant for head coach Mike Mead. He oversees the sprint, hurdles, and jumping events for the Clayton State track & field team.

During his tenure as an assistant indoor and outdoor track & field coach, Caesar has coached 10 NCAA Division II All-Americans, 44 NCAA Division II national and provisional qualifiers in various sprinting, jumping, and hurdling events, and 10 NCAA Division II Region “Athletes of the Year.” Caesar was also recognized as USTFCCCA Regional Assistant Coach of the Year for two straight seasons from 2008-09 and again in 2013.

In addition to serving under Mead, Caesar coached one season of high school track and field as head sprint coach at the Galloway School in Atlanta, Ga. During his season at the Galloway School Caesar coached two state qualifiers.

Clive is the proud father of two daughters – Cameron and Caelyn.
