Redshirt-senior forward Alfonso Davis (Bronx, N.Y.) put up an impressive week with averages of 23.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 0.5 blocks in two games. He also shot .667 from the floor and .769 (10-of-13) at the foul line.
Against Augusta (1/9) he notched 22 points with 11 rebounds, five offensive, and three steals in 35 minutes of action. He also shot .571 from the field.
Davis followed up that performance with 24 points, 10 rebounds, six off of the offensive glass, a pair of steals and a block while playing the full 40 minutes at Armstrong State (1/14). He went an incredible 10-of-13 from the field for a mark of .769 and help lead the Lakers to an improbable 81-78 come-from-behind victory. The outing marked his fourth double-double of the season, all against Peach Belt Conference competition.
On the year his averaging 13.9 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.2 steals while shooting .494 from the floor.
