Redshirt-senior Tierra Johnson (Edison, N.J.) continued her outstanding play with averages of 23.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals over the course of two games.
Opening the week against Augusta (1/9), Johnson dropped 26 points on 12-of-19 shooting while adding five rebounds, three assists and a steal. That performance fueled an impressive 79-63 victory over the Jaguars.
In the final game of the week, she put up 20 points and ripped down a career-high 11 rebounds for her first career double-double. Johnson also added three steals and a pair of assists in the 61-55 victory.
On the year she is averaging 18.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.9 steals, 2.7 assists and 0.7 blocks from the point guard position. She is also currently second in the Peach Belt Conference in scoring by a tenth of a point, leads the league wtih 43 steals and is second in steals per game.
