Redshirt-senior forward Andrea Benford (Madison, Ga.) had one of the best weeks of her career with averages of 21.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, 2.5 steals and 1.0 assists in a pair of victories.
In her first game, a 91-62 win over Paine (11/23), she flirted with a triple-double, scoring a career-high 25 points with career-best tying marks of five steals and five blocks. She also added an assist in 30 minutes and shot 11-23 (.478) from the floor.
Benford would be just as impactful in the Lakers 98-90 overtime victory at No. 11/12 Union (11/26) to close the week. In that game she would finish with 18 points, eight rebounds and an assist in just 18 minutes of work.
On the year she is averaging 14.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 1.0 steals per game for 5-1 Clayton State.
