Men’s soccer graduate forward Iain Smith (Suwanee, Ga.) was an offensive force for the Lakers throughout the Month of September as he finished with five goals, three assists and 13 points in 674 minutes. That goal total equaled his output for all of last season while his point total was one off of last year’s amount. Both rank among the leaders in the Peach Belt Conference.
 
A team captain, Smith led the way as he scored in four of his eight games, including two goals and an assist in a 3-1 win at Auburn-Montgomery (9/14). He also had a goal and an assist against Barry (9/3) and scores in back-to-back games at UNC Pembroke (9/21) and vs. Montevallo (9/28).
