Senior Marcus Lafleur (Douglasville, Ga.) dominated the field at the SCAD Invitational (9/30) to close out September.

Competing on the 8k course in Newnan, Georgia, he posted a time of 26:59.90 to not only finish 1-of-56 but also lead Clayton State to the team championship. Lafleur's time was 23 seconds better than the next closest competitor, which happened to be teammate Troy Hickom.

The meet win, which came over six other programs, is the Lakers first since September 11, 2015 when they won the West Georgia Wolves XC Invitational.
