Senior forward Avery Shepard (Kennesaw, Ga.) delivered another outstanding week, recording three goals and an assist for seven points in a pair of games.
 
Shepard wasted no time in getting the Lakers offense going against Georgia Southwestern (10/21) as he found Sekou Thornell for a goal just 14 seconds into the game.
 
He would build off of that assist in the second half as he headed in his first goal of the game off a pass from Iain Smith at 63:50. Shepard continued to be a threat through the very end of the game as he recorded his second goal with three seconds left when he collected a loose ball in front of the net and drove it home to cap a 5-1 victory.
 
In the final game of the week at USC Aiken (10/23), he would pick right up where he left off. It took just 3:57 for him to deliver his league leading 11th goal of the season and drive his PBC best point total to 25. He is now one goal shy of his career best and equaled his career-high point total with that score.
