Senior women's track & field student-athlete Jessica Matthews (Monroe, Ga.) delivered an outstanding performance in her one event this past weekend.

Competing at the Division I Vanderbilt Music City Challenge, the three-time NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships qualifier took a major step to earning her second trip to the indoor championships.

With a distance of 12.16-meters in the triple jump, she not only earned another provisional qualification, she broke her own school record in the process. That mark surpassed her previous distance of 12.13 meters set in 2013.
