Redshirt-junior guard Tierra Johnson (Edison, N.J.) produced the best week of her Division II career with averages of 17.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.0 assists in a pair of games. She also shot .632 from the field and did all of that while playing just 24.5 minutes a game, all off of the bench.
She opened the week at Georgia Southwestern (1/27) where she dropped a near career-high 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting. Johnson also had two rebounds and a pair of steals in 23 minutes of work.
A trip to a strong Augusta (1/30) team would round out the week. In that one, Johnson had 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting, along with two assists, a rebound and a steal in 26 minutes. Currently she is averaging 8.9 points, 1.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game in 20.7 minutes per outing.
