Senior Maia Kuhnen (Trier, Germany) delivered a tremendous performance in her one event during Clayton State's indoor track & field opener.

Competing at the Emory CrossPlex Invitational (1/24), Kuhnen posted a time of 5:04.89 in the mile, placing first among 39 competitors. That time was also less two seconds from the 10-year old program record (5:03.54) set by Clayton State Hall of Famer Allison Kreutzer in 2006.

Her performance also helped the Lakers to a fourth place finish out of 19 teams.
