Despite just one game in the month, senior women's soccer midfielder Maria Marti Bartis (Girona, Spain) has earned the Chick-fil-A Forest Park Dwarf House Female Student-Athlete of the Month for November.
While she scored the Lakers lone goal in a 2-1 overtime defeat to Armstrong State (11/3) in a Peach Belt Conference Quarterfinal, her 11th of the season, Marti Bartis earned the award for what came afterward. She began the month with a PBC All-Academic selection (11/4) and was an All-PBC First-Team (11/5) choice before racking up some major awards.

On November 23, Marti Bartis became only the second student-athlete in Clayton State history to earn CoSIDA Academic All-American honors as she was named to the First-Team with a perfect 4.0 GPA. That is the highest academic honor in the department’s history. She would then go on to add a second straight First-Team All-Region honor on November 30, as awarded by the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA).
