Junior Ricardo Saams Jr. (Miramar, Fla.) averaged 15 points per game this past week as the men's basketball team went 0-2 to start the season. In the season opener against UNC Pembroke (Ja. 6), Saams Jr. scored eight points while adding three rebounds, two assists and two steals. 

At Lander (Jan. 9), the junior led all scorers with 22 points and had a team-high seven rebounds to go along with one assist and one block.
