Freshman midfielder Geo Rios (Lawrenceville, Ga.) put his name in the Clayton State record books with his performance this past week, logging 118 minutes over the course of a pair of games.
Â
That record book performance would come in a 5-3 victory over North Georgia (10/23) to opening the week as he dished out three assists. That became the 16th time a Laker had accomplished that, equaling the program record. Trailing 2-0, Clayton State would cut that lead in half before Rios dished out an assist on the tying goal and then again on the final two scores of the game.
Â
He would wrap up the week with 64 minutes against No. 21 Young Harris (10/26). While he would not replicate that performance as Clayton State was shutout 2-0 by one of the best teams in the country, he would drive the ball into the offensive end on multiple occasions and be a main reason for his team's 10 shots, six of which ended up on goal.
