Redshirt-senior midfielder Ryan King (County Durham, England) delivered an even better performance than his initial effort that earned him Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week after his first two games.

The NCAA Division II national leader in points (15) and goals (7) put four of those goals on the board and added an assist over the course of two shutout victories on the week.

He opened with his third career hat trick in a 10-0 victory at Southern Wesleyan (9/11) to go with an assist. More impressively, that scoring would come on just four shots and he would notch one on a penalty kick.

King would continue to be a key cog in Clayton State's 4-0 start, this time notching the lone goal in a 1-0 victory at a typically strong Tampa (9/14) squad. That would come in the fifth minute and help secure that fourth win, marking just the fifth time in program history they would open a season with wins in their first four games.

On the season he easily leads the PBC in goals (four ahead of nearest competitor) and points (margin of seven).
