Senior T.J. Witherspoon (Thomasville, Ga.) put forth a pair of strong efforts in the 800-meters this past weekend, competing at the Mount Olive First Chance and Last Chance Meets on May 11-12.
 
On Day 1 he came closest to an NCAA Provisional mark, finishing with a time of 1:52.26 to place 2-of-9. That time was just 0.23 off from the NCAA standard.
 
Witherspoon then closed out the season, and his career, with another runner-up finish. That time he posted a time of 1:53.10 to best nine of 11 individuals.
