Senior center Aleisha Merriweather (Augusta, Ga.) put up one of the best stretches of her career, averaging 20.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists over a pair of Laker victories.

Opening with Lincoln Memorial (12/31) she posted the best game of her career, notching a personal best 26 points on 10-of-14 shooting (.714) and ripping down 10 boards for a double-double. She also added an assist, steal and block for good measure in the 81-69 victory.

Merriweather would follow that up with another strong outing in the New Year, this coming at Augusta (1/5). In 22 minutes she delivered another double-double, this time with 14 points and a career-high tying 12 rebounds along with adding an assist. That performance helped lead the Lakers to a 73-51 victory.

On the season she is averaging 12.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game. Her field goal percentage of .547 ranks third in the Peach Belt Conference while her rebounding is tied for 10th.
