Junior guard Taneria Wilson (Fort Pierce, Fla.) had just one opportunity this past week but she took full advantage of it.
Hosting Tusculum (11/15) in their last home game for a month, Wilson fueled the Lakers attack. In 31 minutes she put up 19 points on 9-of-16 shooting (.563), grabbed six boards, four offensive, and came away with six steals and an assist.
That performance brought the Lakers back from a 10-point fourth quarter deficit to knot the game at 62-62 before falling on a buzzer beating three-pointer.
On the young season she is averaging 13.0 points, 4.0 steals, 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists in just over 24 minutes per game. Of those, she is currently tied for third in the PBC in steals per game.
