Junior forward Jaylen Taylor (Hepzibah, Ga.) produced a strong week that helped keep Clayton State in a tie for the lead in the Peach Belt Conference. Over two games he averaged 13.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 blocks and 2.0 steals per game while shooting a sizzling .591 from the field.

He opened the week against Young Harris (1/3) and just missed a double-double, finishing with 10 points, nine boards, a pair of steals and two blocks. That effort helped the Lakers move to 4-1 in the PBC.

Taylor played a key role in Clayton State coming up with a key victory over No. 23 Francis Marion (1/6) to close the week. Playing on the road he delivered 17 points, eight rebounds, two steals and a career-high five blocks. He shot 8-of-14 from the field and was just one point shy of his career-high of 18 points set earlier this year.

On the season he is averaging 11.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks and is shooting .542 from the field.
