Sophomore defender Janne Brouer (Aarhus, Denmark) produced a strong week offensively and defensively over the course of wo games.
Opening against national semifinalist No. 15 Columbus State (10/4), she played all 90 minutes and broke up the shutout. For the second time this year, she delivered on a penalty kick, reaching the final margin of 4-1.
She would repeat that feat her next time out, this time recording what would be the eventual game-winner in an 8-0 decison at Albany State (10/7). Fouled in the box with just 2:48 gone by, Brouer delivered on a PK attempt in her second straight game and third consecutive attempt this season. From there she helped limit the Rams to eight shots, and only four on goal, while playing all 90 minutes for the 10th straight game this season.
