Redshirt-senior Jessica Charman (Harefield, England) posted the most impressive week of her career while dealing with a shifting schedule due to Hurricane Irma. Over the course of two games she finished with a pair of wins, 0.50 goals against average, 18 saves and a .947 save percentage.
Â
That week opened at Truett-McConnell (9/8) where she played all 90 minutes, made five saves and picked up a 4-1 victory. That would set the table for one of the most impressive performances in recent program history as Charman and the Lakers took on Division I The Citadel (9/10) at Laker Field.
Â
In that game she made a career-high 13 saves, including on some point blank shots late in the game, while playing all 90 minutes to earn a 1-0 shutout against a Bulldogs team was off to the best start in program history. Charman also had a hand in setting things up for what would be the game-winning goal as the series started on an outlet pass following her save on the fifth of a series of shots by The Citadel.
