Redshirt-junior Latrese Hubbard (Cusseta, Ga.) posted an impressive weekend as she excelled in all three of her events at the Berry Field Day Invitational from April 7-8.
On Friday, April 7 she hit a distance of 40.24-meters in the hammer, eclipsing her personal best of 38.43-meters that was set her last time out at the Emory Classic (3/25). Her performance earned her a 2-of-12 finish.
With two more events on Saturday, April 8, Hubbard continued her strong showing. In the discus she notched another personal best as she delivered a distance of 32.44-meters, passing her old mark of 30.70-meters set earlier this year at the Savannah State Relays (3/4). On this day, her new personal best was good for fifth out of 18 total competitors.
She would wrap up the weekend in the shot put. In that event she notched a distance of 10.40-meters to finish in the top half of the field (8-of-16).
