Freshman Clifford Russell, Jr. (Pelham, Ga.) posted an outstanding weekend as he notched a pair of first place finishes to go with a third place outing at the Berry Field Day Invitational (4/8).
After posting a record-setting performance in the 100-meters last time out, Russell ran a 10.95 in Rome, Georiga to take first ahead of 26 other competitors in that event.
He would add a second top performance as part of a 4x100-meter relay team that delivered a time of 42.19, besting five other school.
Finally, Russell went on to add a 3-of-27 performance in the 200-meters, running a personal best time of 21.76.
