Sophomore Sierra Glenn (Riverdale, Ga.) spearheaded a record-setting performance for the Lakers at the Emory Classic on Saturday, March 25.
As part of the 4x100-meter relay with freshman Nia Elmore (Hinesville, Ga.), senior Kemjika Finebone (Douglasville, Ga.) and freshman Ja'Via Grice (Augusta, Ga.), Glenn set a program record with a time of 49.33.
That performance eclipsed the mark of 49.41 set by Keisha Etienne, Natasha Gass, Kara Stokes and Jon Taylor in 2008.
While certainly the most impressive performance of the weekend for Glenn, it was not her only high level outing. She also set a personal best in the 100-meters, notching a time of 12.73 to finish 16-of-60. Rounding out the day would be a 13-of-28 performance in the 4x400-meters with a time of 4:09.84.
