MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State All-American Brandon Robinson (Lake Wales, Fla.) and his team, Trained To Go, will play live on ESPN3 at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 21 as part of the Super 16 of the $2 Million, winner-take-all The Basketball Tournament (TBT).

Robinson helped lead his club to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, site of this year's Super 16, behind a lights out performance in their second round game. In that game he drained a pair of threes to lead a come-from-behind 83-82 victory over Bluff City Blues, a team made up of former University of Memphis players.

Tomorrow, No. 8 seed TTG and Robinson will kick off the Super 16 as they take on No. 5 seed TMD for the right to advance to play either No. 2 and defending champion Overseas Elite or No. 3 Ram Nation on Saturday, July 23.

All remaining games of the tournament will be carried on the ESPN family of networks, including the national quarterfinals on Saturday, July 30. The $2 million championship game is scheduled for 9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2.

About Brandon Robinson
Robinson played for the Lakers from 2009-11 and was a two-time All-Region selection and
2010-11 Division II Bulletin All-American. Over the course of his career he averaged 17.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.3 steals and nearly a block a game. He also knocked down 118 threes in 58 games and starts.

Last season Robinson's team advanced to Chicago, Illinois for what was then the Super 17 as part of a 97-team field before falling to eventual champion Overseas Elite on ESPNU.

Robinson will be the second former Laker to appear on an ESPN broadcast within the past three weeks, joining Gideon Oji who finished fourth at the 100
th Annual Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest on the Fourth of July. That broadcast was aired live on ESPN3 and on tape delay on ESPN.
