Clayton State defeats USC Aiken 7-2 in PBC opener

 Aiken, SC – The Clayton State women's tennis team opened its Peach Belt Conference schedule on Sunday in impressive fashion, defeating #44 USC Aiken 7-2 in Aiken, SC. 

The Lakers got off to a good start, sweeping the doubles competition and won four of the six singles matches en route to the victory. The win improves Clayton State to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in PBC play.

Clayton State's women's tennis to host Augusta State Tuesday at 3 p.m.  

Morrow, GA – The Clayton State women's tennis team will return to Peach Belt Conference action on Tuesday, hosting Augusta State in a 3 p.m. match at Laker Courts.

 The match was originally scheduled for noon tomorrow but has been pushed back to 3 p.m. with the forecast of early morning rain in the metro-Atlanta area on Tuesday. The change will allow more time for the courts to dry.

 Clayton State is 2-1 on the season and coming off a 7-2 victory over USC Aiken on Sunday.
