“Battle of the Ages” as Clayton State women’s soccer team faces alumni team on Saturday
Morrow, GA --- AUGUST 17, 2012 – It will be a "Battle of the Ages" on Saturday at Clayton State's Laker Field. The Clayton State women's soccer program will welcome back former players from year's past for the 9th Annual Clayton State Alumni women's soccer match.
"The Alumni match has evolved into a great event for our program," said head coach Gareth O'Sullivan. "It is great to see and meet some of the former Laker players and keep them connected with our program. These players laid the foundations and brought success to the Laker program. We hope to build on their groundwork, and hopefully take the program to the next level."
Kickoff for the match will be 5 p.m. on Saturday and former player Tiffany Cavin '02, who has organized for the event for many years, expects 25 alumni players to return.
