#2 Clayton State women to be featured on 11 Alive's Sports Extra show tonight

MORROW, GA – The 2nd-ranked Clayton State women's basketball team will be featured tonight on Channel 11's Sports Extra show. The show on Atlanta's NBC affiliate will air at 11:30 p.m. after the local news.  

11 Alive sports anchor and reporter Sam Crenshaw visited the Clayton State campus last Friday for the piece, interviewing Laker players and head coach Dennis Cox.  

Clayton State defeated Georgia Southwestern 91-43 Saturday on Senior Night, improving its record to 25-0 overall and 18-0 in Peach Belt Conference play. The nation's top-ranked Bentley fell 73-66 Saturday, leaving Clayton State as the lone women's team in the country with an unblemished record.  

The loss by Bentley and the Clayton State win more than likely means the Lakers will claim the No. 1 ranking next week in the USA Today Sports/ESPN Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll released Tuesday.

 The Lakers will return to action Saturday, traveling to face Columbus State in its regular season finale.
