Lakers remain 4th in NCAA Division II national poll
MORROW, GA –The Clayton State women's basketball team held steady at fourth in the latest edition of the USA Today Sports/ESPN NCAA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll released yesterday.
The Lakers (5-0) were off last week as the University's fall semester ended with finals. Clayton State will return to action on Saturday, traveling to face Georgia Southwestern. The matchup will be the squad's Peach Belt Conference opener and tipoff is at 1:30 p.m.
Clayton State will play at home again on Monday, December 17th, hosting Columbus State in conference action. The game starts at 5:30 p.m.
Ashland, with a 10-0 record, sits atop the poll, followed by Bentley and Peach Belt Conference rival USC Aiken, who is ranked 3rd with a 5-0 start.
