Clayton State's Lawless records two Top Five finishes at Shorter Last-Chance Meet
ROME Ga. - May 12, 2012 - The 2012 outdoor track and field season officially concluded on Saturday for the Clayton State Laker men at the Shorter Last-Chance Meet.
Competing for Clayton State in the event was sophomore Russell Lawless, and he recorded two Top Five finishes in the middle distance events. Lawless finished fourth overall in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.32. He came within a second of his personal best in the event that he set last weekend at the Bob Polluck Invitational at Clemson.
Lawless followed that with a fifth-place finish in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:05.73.
