Junuzovic named to Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Team

MORROW, GA  – Clayton State men's soccer player Ado Junuzovic was recently named among the top players in the region for his superb play in the 2012 season.

Junuzovic, Clayton State's leading scorer in his first season with the Lakers, was named to the 2012 Daktronics All-Southeast Region second team. The All-Southeast region squad is comprised of the top 26 players from the three conferences in the region, the Conference Carolinas, the Peach Belt Conference, and the South Atlantic Conference. He was named to the Peach Belt All-Conference team earlier this month.

A sophomore from Lawrenceville, GA, he finished the season with 11 goals and three assists to lead the Laker offensive attack. He opened the season with a "hat trick" against Pfeiffer and finished the season with three multi-goal games. The aggressive, play-making forward also finished with a team high 77 shots on the season.

After regularly challenging for the Peach Belt Conference Championship and advancing to the NCAA Tournament over last 12 years, the 2012 season was a bit of a rebuilding year for the Lakers with several first-year players in the Laker program. Clayton State finished with 7-8-1 record after averaging over 12 wins per season over the last five years.
