Pirate Invitational cancelled due to weather and playing conditions
Savannah, GA – The 2013 Armstrong Pirate Invitational golf tournament was cancelled today due to the weather and unplayable conditions at the course in Savannah, GA.
Clayton State was one of 15 schools competing in the event at Savannah Quarters Golf Club.
Teams finished nine holes on Monday before officials were forced to suspend play due to the weather. Officials hoped to resume play today and conclude round one but early morning rain and standing water on the course have forced the cancellation of the event.
The Lakers will return to action on March 17th in the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Georgia College at Cuscawilla Golf Club in Eatonton, GA.
